These year-round theatre programs begin in the fall of each year and run through until late spring of the next year, ending in a full-scale production at a local theatre. No previous experience is necessary. All costumes and materials are provided.
Kids Get Staged
8 to 13 year olds
This lively, exciting and instructional year-round theatre production program will educate and challenge young people with an interest in the performing arts. Participants will learn and hone many acting techniques as they work on character development, scene study and thematic analysis in preparation for their final performance. At the same time, participants will develop new and significant relationships as we collaborate to develop a cohesive theatrical ensemble.
We are thrilled to announce this year’s project, Anne of Green Gables! Based on L. M. Montgomery’s beloved Canadian classic, this production is a warm and light-hearted story focusing on Anne Shirley’s quest for ‘kindred spirits’. As an uneducated, poor, orphaned outsider with red hair, Anne is greeted with skepticism and discrimination when she arrives to make her new home in Avonlea. Her irrepressible joy and zest for life, quickly earn Anne the respect, admiration and love of even the town’s most hard-lined cynics. Be part of the magic that Anne creates as she uses her charm and imagination to win the hearts, not only of all of the unique characters in Avonlea, but of the entire audience.
Acting, comedy, drama, song and dance are all part of the training the young actors will receive from our professional staff of directors, choreographers and voice instructors in preparation for their final performances of their full-scale production at Theatre Aurora from May 23rd to 25th 2025.

We are thrilled to announce this year's production: Singin' in the Rain!
Singin' In The Rain has all the makings of a Tinseltown tabloid headline - the starlet, the leading man and a love affair that could change lives and make or break careers. In silent movies, Don Lockwood and Lina Lamont are a hot item, but behind the scenes things aren't always as they appear on the big screen. Meanwhile, Lina's squeaky voice might be the end of her career in "talking pictures" without the help of a talented young actress to do the talking and singing for her. Filled with every memorable moment from the film and a downpour of unforgettable songs, Singin' In The Rain is a guaranteed hit that is sure to have the audience leaping to their feet.
